Letter from VP of Recruitment
To those interested in sorority life,
I want to start off by saying congratulations in your acceptance to Christian Brothers University. You have already begun an amazing journey by choosing a university such as this one. You are already proving yourself as a woman of wise choices. After selecting a college, many pursue different paths that make their experience even greater, and that is where I threw myself for a loop. I am from a small country school with limited diversity, and a town where everyone knows all the people around. As a first generation college student, the terms "Greek Life" and "Sorority" were pretty much foreign to me. However, once arriving on CBU's campus, I found out how devoted, involved, and inspiring the Greek community is. I immediately fell in love with the kind of people that I met in Zeta Tau Alpha. I could tell they were genuinely my friends and supported me to no end. With limited or no support from my parents, I decided to go through recruitment, which ended up being one of the best decisions I have ever made. I was too scared to even tell my mom about Bid Day but I knew with all my heart that I was doing the right thing. After member of Zeta for one and a half years, my mother was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Now all of a sudden, my mom sees the deeper reason of Zeta Tau Alpha and why it is so important to me. I am now highly involved in campus activities and am confident that my college experiences has improved drastically since that secret Bid day. Being a part of anything that puts other interests ahead of your own teaches you to approach life in a new light. Through the parties, swaps, intramurals, fundraisers, and service events, I know the kind of women who are a part of ZTA and am proud to call them my sisters. Take a chance. Whether sorority life seems unknown or very familiar, take the time to explore Zeta Tau Alpha, where love is the greatest of all things.
Sincerly,
Paige Campbell
